Repurposing
Don't you hate that word--repurposing? I do. Nevertheless, that is what I will do. Rather than start a new blog, I will continue this one, though it no longer contains the ramblings of a crazed parish administrator, but a deranged online adjunct college professor. Contain your excitement.

The word repurpose seems an amateur sort of word, as if the writer is lacking energy to do things right. It brings to mind cars patched in duct tape.
The word doesn't seem so slap-dash if used with intention, though:
"I shall have to repurpose my husband."
I was told by the car inspector to cover up the rust spots of my car with duct tact, once. That is considered acceptable body-work in W. Mass. Your example sentence is giving me some good ideas.
